Light has been recognized as a source of energy and healing since the early days of
recorded time. Ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians practiced heliotherapy, or
healing by sunlight to treat various ailments. In the 17th century, Sir Isaac Newton
identified the visible spectrum of light when he separated light with a prism. Then,
in the early part of the 20th century, Dr. Nils Finsen of Denmark won the Nobel prize
for treating conditions like tuberculosis, rickets and lupus with ultraviolet light. His success led to great exploration in the therapeutic use of artificial light. Today we use lasers, the most advanced source of artificial light ever developed.

Since the time that Albert Einstein first imagined laser physics, lasers have been used in
aviation research and other industries, most notably in medicine for surgical applications.
Endre Mester, the recognized father of laser therapy, investigated its use at low intensity
wattage for stimulating hair growth, accelerating wound healing and forming new blood
cells, among other benefits.

LaserCare is a cutting edge treatment using Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT). Although the
roots of this form of healing extend back through the centuries, sophisticated use of LILT in
practice has grown steadily over the last thirty years. NASA scientists have investigated its
healing powers in space, and private practitioners have been helping patients recover even
after their hope had long been frustrated by the failure of traditional medicine.
